The Instituto Cultural Voo da Iúna - ICVI (Iúna Flight Cultural Institute) is a non -profit civil association, dedicated to promoting cultural, sports, social and educational development. Founded on December 20, 2013, ICVI has as its main purpose the promotion and appreciation of capoeira in its sports, cultural and formative dimensions, recognizing it as Afro-Brazilian intangible heritage and an instrument of inclusion, citizenship and social emancipation. In addition to capoeira, we operate widely in the areas of performing arts, popular cultures, visual arts, audiovisual, cultural heritage, education and cultural formation, covering both the expressions of traditional culture and ancestral knowledge and the contemporary manifestations of urban culture. In the social and educational sphere, ICVI develops non -formal education projects, workshops, experiences, educational campaigns, social assistance actions, citizen training, inclusion of vulnerable audiences and stimulating community participation. In sport, we can act in any of the three recognized divisions in Brazil: educational sport, sports of participation and performance sport, aligning with the principles of ethics, inclusion, diversity and citizen formation.
Today, the headquarters of ICVI is located in Manaus, Amazonas (AM). In addition, it has active branches in Mangaratiba (RJ) and Eirunepé (AM), providing opportunities for people from various regions of Brazil to engage in capoeira and the cultural values it represents.
Thus, ICVI establishes itself as a headlight of knowledge, culture and respect, with its dedication to the preservation and promotion of capoeira and other manifestations of Brazilian culture, continuing to inspire and enrich the lives of practitioners and supporters.
