The 1st Wheel of Knowledge: Capoeira, Culture and Resistance is a celebration of the cultural and historical richness of capoeira, designed to gather the community of Manaus in a space for the exchange of knowledge, experiences and social inclusion.
This project seeks to value capoeira in all its dimensions - such as physical practice, artistic expression, pedagogical instrument and symbol of cultural resistance. During their realization, practical workshops and round tables will bring together masters, practitioners and researchers from various regions, promoting a unique exchange of experiences and methodologies.

What will happen?

Capoeira workshops - focused on various audiences, with practical and theoretical content about styles, musicality and foundations of capoeira.

Round tables - meetings and debates with masters and researchers, discussing topics such as cultural resistance, capoeira pedagogy and social inclusion.

Audiovisual Registration - Construction of a Digital Project Collection, with records of activities and testimonials for memory and public consultation.
